ಐ ಮ್ಯಾಕ್, ಐ ಪಾಡ್, ಐ ಟ್ಯೂನ್ಸ್, ಐ ವರ್ಕ್, ಐ ಲೈಫ್, ಐ ಫೋನ್, ಈಗ ಐ ಪ್ಯಾಡ್. ಇವುಗಳಲ್ಲಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲ, ಆತನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಬರೆಯಲಾಗಿರುವ ಅನಧಿಕೃತ ಆತ್ಮಚರಿತ್ರೆಯಾದ “ಐಕಾನ್್”ನಲ್ಲೂ “ಐ” ಇದೆ! ಅವನನ್ನು ಟೀಕಾಕಾರರು  “Ego Maniac” ಎಂದು ಜರಿದರೂ ಆತನಲ್ಲಿರುವುದು “ನಾನು” ಎಂಬ “ಅಹಂ” ಅಲ್ಲ, ನಾನೇನಾದರೂ ವಿಭಿನ್ನವಾದುದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಹಂಬಲ. ಇಂತಹ ಹಂಬಲವನ್ನು ಕೆಲವರು ಆಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೂ ಇದೆ. ಯಾವುದಕ್ಕೂ ತಲೆ ಕೆಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲ ಸ್ಟೀವ್ ಜಾಬ್ಸ್. ಆದರೆ ಬೇರೆಯವರ ತಲೆಕೆಡಿಸಿ ಬಿಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೇ  “Reality Distortion”  ಎಂದು ದೂರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೇನಂತೆ ಹುಚ್ಚು ಭ್ರಮೆ ಎನಿಸುವುದನ್ನೂ ವಾಸ್ತವಕ್ಕಿಳಿಸುವ ಆತನನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷಿಸಲು ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಇಂದು ಸ್ಟೀವ್ ಜಾಬ್ ಹೆಸರು ಕೇಳಿದರೆ ಜಗತ್ತೇ ರೋಮಾಂಚನಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿರಬಹುದು. ಆದರೆ ಆತನ ಬದುಕಿನ ಪುಟಗಳನ್ನು ತಿರುವುತ್ತಾ ಹೋದರೆ ಅವನ ಹುಟ್ಟೇ ಒಂದು ಆಕಸ್ಮಿಕವೆಂಬುದು ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಅವಿವಾಹಿತಳಾಗಿದ್ದ ಅಮ್ಮ ಕಾಲೇಜಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ಗರ್ಭ ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದಳು. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಮಗು ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ದತ್ತು ನೀಡುವ ನಿರ್ಧಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಳು. ಆದರೆ ಆಕೆಯದ್ದೊಂದು ಪೂರ್ವ ಷರತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಮಗುವನ್ನು ದತ್ತು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುವ ಪೋಷಕರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಪದವೀಧರರಾಗಿರಬೇಕು. ವಿದ್ಯಾವಂತ ಪೋಷಕರು ದೊರೆತರೆ ತನ್ನ ಮಗುವನ್ನೂ ಕಾಲೇಜು ವ್ಯಾ...

HYDERABAD: Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has said development along the coastal belt should not be at the cost of affecting the livelihood of the poor, particularly of the fishermen community. Speaking at the inauguration of the ground station to receive data from the OCEANSAT-II satellite at the Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services on Monday, the chief minister said, “The fishermen are worried about being displaced in the name of development and care should be taken to protect their livelihood.” He, however, hailed the launch of the ground station which will benefit the fishermen community in the state.  Union Minister for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences Vilasrao Deshmukh who inaugurated the ground station said, science and technology should be beneficial to common man, otherwise its purpose is defeated.
